​Driven by the aspiration for a better outcome, a small team of engineers, cannabis enthusiasts and environmental advocates began developing alternatives single-use plastics using the byproducts from cultivation.

After the signing of the 2018 Farm Bill , thousands of farmers began growing industrial hemp, which left millions of pounds of stalks as waste each harvest. Recognizing the synergy, Greentek was formed, focused on building the infrastructure to support the flow of renewable materials and eco-friendly alternatives, aimed at minimizing the use of petroleum/oil and trees.
